Here I continued to hone my fishing skills in the local waters. I also surfed for the local chapter of the Eastern Surfing Association. I served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard where I got to fish all through the Caribbean Islands and as far north as Ocean City, Maryland. I now own and operate Noah’s Ark Charters out of Cape Pointe Marina on Harkers Island, NC, which is about a ten minute boat ride from the infamous fishing grounds of Cape Lookout. I fish year round with some of the hottest fishing on the East Coast taking place right in my area. I am currently writing weekly and monthly columns for several publications including Coastal Angler Magazine, Coastal Mariner Magazine, NC Sportsman, NC News Times and Down East Community News On-line Edition. I also speak at various public forums, conduct local fishing seminars and attend boating shows up and down the East Coast.
